Harpsichord Block #33

It seems I’m going to have to accept that this block takes longer to stitch than I think. This one took me about 75 minutes, so a bit faster than the night before. I’m still hoping I’ll find a stitching sequence that speeds this up. It will probably help if I stick to stitching these for a while too. Now there are only 121 blocks left to stitch.

Pressed, but the seams are not yet graded. The box containing the finished blocks is out and waiting for me to just sit down and get those seams graded, which I will do this weekend.

And this is the Harpsichord Quilt project box. I think I need to go to the dollar store and find a prettier box for this project.

If you’re here for the Grow Your Blog giveaway, please see this post. Only comments left on that post will be entered in the draw for the two prizes – an Inklingo gift certificate or a mug rug. Yet another day of the deep freeze. They’re saying we may get some snow today. So today’s Baxtertoon is all about dreaming of spring.

What you can’t see in this photo is the Harpsichord Quilt block. As soon as we put it on the board to photograph it, Baxter jumped right up and stretched out on top of it. I think he assumes the only possible reason to have the camera out is to take a photograph of him.

  1. Gorgeous quilts Cathi. The last quilt I made was a gift to my daughter on her wedding day, almost twenty years ago. I always found quilting so relaxing and loved to do it. In fact you may have just inspired me to pick up my needle again. Great blog Cathi and I’m glad I found you by visiting “Grow Your Blog.” Do drop by and say hello!
