A Dozen Blue & Brown Paisley Kaleidoscope Stars

Now that the butterfly and wild floral kaleidoscope stars are all made, I’m concentrating on getting the brown and blue paisley ones finished.

I think I know what I’m going to use to set these.

And that will be either a good quality muslin.

Or perhaps a creamy beige tone on tone.

Mr. Q.O. says the one on the left makes him think of elephants. I love the effect I got in the centre of the one on the right.

There are still quite a few of the brown and blue paisley kaleidoscope stars to make, at least another two dozen. These stars have me sold on using a paisley for kaleidoscope stars.

“Nothing new here, is there, Buddy?”

This is what we woke up to on Saturday morning. Sky dandruff that actually stayed on the ground and is still there as it has been quite cold. And now they’re saying we may have more white stuff tonight or tomorrow.

Baxter doesn’t care what it does outside. He’s comfortable up on his perch surveying his kingdom.

  1. The stars just keep getting better!
I heard on another list that London, Ontario got 2 feet of snow, hope that much doesn’t come your way!

  2. Cathi, I am very partial to these blue paisley kaleidoscope stars. They are so beautiful. I can’t wait to see what you do with them. Yes, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire inside delightful …

  3. Great stars, Cath! And I love the ‘toon today too. And I even love “sky dandruff” but we are only getting rain. We might see white stuff before the day is done here in Texas though. It is quite chilly outside!

  4. The first quilt I saw (many many years ago, it was) was blue, brown and cream/beige, I loved the combination then and still do. Your stars take me right back…….in a good way! Baxter is fine, he has that fur coat to keep him warm.
